I told my boyfriend about Kathy's and wanted him to eat there because he lived in New Orleans for 15 years and misses the great food. We were both shocked at the pricey menu. But the kicker was the server who made no secret of how perturbed he was that I ordered an appetizer portion of gumbo instead of the regular portion. He said, ""I don't know if she [referring to the cook I assume] is going to want to do that. You're not supposed to order only an appetizer."" WTF?! We couldn't believe it! Then when he brought the gumbo, he made ANOTHER rude comment about how reluctant the cook was to serve only an appetizer portion. I'm a native Las Vegan and NEVER had I ever been treated this blatantly rude and scoffed at for ordering something! I will NEVER eat at Kathy's again. The food was good, but the horrible service left a bad taste in our mouths.
