I went here last week with a friend that I really wanted to impress, thinking a would get lucky after. We were told that it would be a 45 min wait so we headed to the bar.
Me being a male, I had an agenda! My female friend ordered a drink, I asked the bartender to make it a double then I let him in on my plan...j/k. Well Kinda. He then gave be a double shot of Patron to help me with my plan that I was eagerly waiting for for some months now.
It was time. Tonight, that night should have been the night!
After about 30 mins I got a text saying my table was ready. We went, sat down, and my date, well lady friend started telling how good this place was. Well just so you know, I'm a chef! Yes, I real life chef. For real, I can cook for you if you like.
I ordered the killer shrimp thingy over white rice. She ordered the same, but over pasta. Almost everyone around us was asking for salt, you will find out more as I go on.
While the waitress who was very cute, and nice got our food, I read the stats about this so called special sauce simmering for about 10 hours and what not...wait did I mention the waitress was cute...I really want to get that point accross.
She brought the food and it smelled amazing, yummy yummy in my tummy, well in my nostrils. But there was something wrong. The sauce was runny like water, yukky, but I said ""self eat up, never mind the food you have a beautiful girl with you, and she is going home with you, you lucky guy"".
The food was nasty. Horrible. They should not even call it food. It was spicy which I loved but it lacked flavor, hence the reason everyone around us was asking for salt. (you like how I brought that point back accross?) I forgot to mention that I ordered the lobster tail which was over cooked. Oh, and the rice was lacking flavor and texture, I mean how do you mess rice up? Someone please tell me that?
Me being the man I am I had to let them know, so everything that I am sharing with you I told the cute waitress, (Don't worry I still paid my bill) who tried to get me a new lobster, but it was still not done correctly.
I offered to go back there and show the Chef how to cook it, but they declined my offer...too bad.
We left and I thought we were heading back to my place, but my date wanted to go home :-(. I blame the food. If the food was good, my date may have stayed the night! Thanks a lot killer shrimp for killing my plans! I should have wasted my drinks on the cute waitress chick! I'm sure she would have went home wth me, well at least that's what I will be telling people since I will never know if she would have or not!
Killer Shrimps needs to be wiped off the face of the earth, Or tossed in the trash where it belongs!
