My ex was responsible for paying on an orthodontist bill for our son. I paid my half in full, the ex let his go for 7 years. No one contacted me. It was turned over to Western Credit & Collections. I explained the situation, gave him my ex's information, he didn't care told me to pay up and then go sue my ex. i refused so he sued me for the balance plus 7 years late fees. I fought it in court...and the judge ruled in my favor. And then Western Credit and Collections had to pay me for my small claims court costs.
