I was a member at US1 for about 12 years. I like their long hours (though I never tested the early opening hours). The equipment is generally in good condition and they seem to upgrade fairly often. They also have classes (aerobics, dance exercise, yoga, etc) for the price of membership or a small additional fee. Their fees are relatively low compared to competition. I even had a guarantee of a low return fee when I was deployed to Bosnia (I dropped it for a year while deployed, though I don't think current management was happy about that on my return). I would still be a member except I am away from Miami so often that my limited use in effect doubles my fee. I have been told for over 5 years that a new gym was on the way, but that still hasn't happened. However, if one regulary uses the facility it is a bargain compared to others around Miami. Pros: Lots of parking available. Cons: Heavy turnover of staff
