My 5 year old daughter attended Katie's cooking School last week on a camp field trip. To my horror, my daughter told me that Katie had told them (and the other 80 or so kids) that they didn't need to wash their hands before they making the pizza because the oven would kill the germs.
WHAT??!! Are you freaking kidding me? Not only does this go against every public health law regarding food preparation, but it completely undermines what parents and educators have to constantly drill into kids!
I will NEVER send my child to Katie's Cooking School on my dime or through a school or camp sponsored field trip!
