Review content:
My daughter and 2 sisters and I went to the Abbey to chose her gown, the bridesmaids gowns and mine. The sales girl could not have been more helpful and patient. We were actually able to decide on a wedding gown and bridesmaids gowns with her help. The disaster came when the girls went back for the seamstress to fit the dresses. The maid of honor put her gown on, the seamstress stuffed 2 cups in her chest, tied the bow and said she was all set. The gown was very big on her but the seamstress said it will look fine when it is pressed. The bride put her gown on and was told that it was rather tight and did not fit like it should. She told my daughter that not everyone looks the same in a gown and she will not look like the picture of the girl wearing it in the catalog. (My daughter is 5'8"" and weighs around 130 pounds) She put cups in her gown, said the length was fine and walked away with my daughter in tears. When we left she gave her a bill of $250 plus $400 for a slip. To make a long story short we took the gowns to another seamstress who took in the first gown and with a small adjustment made the gown look perfect on my daughter. She also hemmed it 1"". All for $200 less. I would never recommend this bridal shop.
Pros: Nice gowns
Cons: No one cares what you look like or if the bride is happy
