Review content:
In 1980 my family and I lived in a big yellow double- wide home at Riverbend ""Family"" Park. Management was the most disagreeable, offensive and manipulative woman I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. This was never a family park. My sister came to visit and I told her it was okay to swim in the pool. She swam a few minutes before being told to get out as she was not a resident. There was no one else in the pool and she was my guest! Worse, my sister was spoken to as if vagrant riffraff.
When trying to sell my home the new buyers were treated as if they had no right to live in the mobile home they had purchased. The manager's comment was something to the effect, ""I guess they don't know their place and will find out soon enough."" I couldn't believe my ears.
This was very unprofessional management at Riverbend with in-your-face disrespect. I was young at the time but I have never forgotten. If I had it to do over, I'd have owners and management on record with every relevant agency I could find. There were other incidents of crude and unprofessional management as well. It seems nothing has changed.
In situations like this residents should stand together, and take action and when possible, warn prospective tenants. Residents deserve fair, courteous and respectful treatment.
