Review content:
I visited Epic on two separate occasions this week. Once for the ATB show on 10/15/10, and once on 10/20/10 for the Deadmau5 show. The performances of both artists were amazing and I would see them both again in a heartbeat. I enjoyed my first visit a bit more than the second. However, the drink prices were rather steep both nights. On my second visit, the staff were very rude to both me and my roommate on separate issues. Upon my arrival, my glowsticks were taken from me saying they were not allowed. I moved on with my evening as if not big deal. Then, when my roommate decided she needed to smoke, we were blocked from going upstairs for a reason I still am confused about. Upon asking if re-entry was possible we were astonished by the staff members attitude. I will not say a name because I do not want to be responsable for a job loss. However, the bar should have a coaching class for the staff to learn some basic customer service skills. He was extremely rude and made my roommate feel intimidated for asking a very general and SIMPLE question. Secondly, we were each searched VERY WELL upon entry to the club for weapons and drugs. During the show I noticed countless patrons that were participating in the consumption of illegal substances. I was literally grossed out by this. I am not a prude about this issue and I stick to the idea of ""To each their own"" But this was out of control. I will not be visiting Epic again due to the drug issue. Time to clean up guys, and learn to be nice. Thanks for reading.
