Put Area 51 on your list as the First-and-Only one to call when you have computer or IT problems! They are the true professionals who seem to know everything. I have used their services several times and I will not go anywhere else. From my experience with them, they have the deepest knowledge and experience with computers and software of anyone in the Nashville area. Steve Summers, CIO will move heaven and earth, and anything else to solve your problem. I?m a Ph.D Physicist and a Strategic Management Consultant. I know my way around computers and I rarely meet anyone so dedicated and determined to find the solution. Unlike the larger, brand name repair services Area 51 will not nickel and dime you if the situation is more complicated than first thought. Similar to ETE?s problem my entire hard disk was whipped out when I connected a new Seagate drive and used their software. I was on the phone for several hours with Seagate tech support. They were of no help at all and tried to tell me that the Seagate brand name software that came with the new drive was cheap 3rd party software and they didn?t understand it. Area 51 successfully helped me with an earlier problem when my computer crashed, so I called them again. Steve must have tried at least a dozen possibilities but he WOULD NOT GIVE UP until he finally found the solution. Because of his extensive experience with Forensic Diagnosis and Analysis he was able to restore my entire hard drive. The Seagate software was old and cheap and it would only run on a computer that was specifically configured to run the software. They saved a whole month?s worth of my work and a lot of $$.
Pros: True Professionals, Deep Experience, will not quit until they have solved your problem
Cons: Honestly, I can not think of any.
