i absolutely love grill-at-your-table-spots, and this one by far is the best i've visited. i curiously stepped in last night when i saw the words ""charcoal dining"". the prices are reasonable and appropriate, and you receive a great amount of food. not so much where it's overwhelming, but definitely enough to feel satisfied and happy about where your money went. i had the complete chicken dinner, which included 7 oz of fresh chicken breast, green salad with baby greens and a wonderful mustardseed vinagarette, miso soup, generous bowl of rice, choice of spicy tuna or california roll, (the spicy tuna roll was awesome), and spicy bean sprouts (which they gladly will give you more if you ask). everything was very fresh and didn't take long to come to the table. service was very friendly and attentive. what i like about this place is that it's not overcrowded and too busy. the meal can be enjoyed with a group of friends on one of the longer benches outside in their beautiful, bamboo decorated patio setting, or as an intimate dinner inside on one of the smaller tables. they have an extensive menu where you can order combo dishes, or different individual plates of meat, seafood, poultry or veggies a la carte. what i love is that this place is in the valley right up the street from where i live, and i don't have to travel all the way to downtown to get some good japanese/korean bbq! it's also open until 1130/12! everyone who loves charcoal dining and a wonderful combination of japanese and korean food has got to try this place! you'll love it! Pros: fresh and tasty ingredients, friendly and efficient service, cute setting Cons: desserts could be a little better, but they have smores so it works!
