I went on-line to price a new windshield yesterday. I noticed a ""holiday special"" that was good for $169 off the regular price (which was already quite reasonable!) so I booked an appointment on-line for this morning, between 8 AM and noon. I received an email confirmation within about half an hour. The technician showed up at 8:10 and went right to work, right in my garage. I watched him work and was really impressed with how carefully he cleaned and prepared the metal surfaces to be bonded to the glass - that metal was as clean and shiny as the day the car left the factory when he was finished. I was amazed watching him applying the adhesive so absolutely perfectly - not one squiggle out of place. Perfect. He was finished in about 45 mins. and on his way. I'm pretty demanding, and almost never take the time to do anything like this review, but I am so impressed with Safelite's entire operation I wanted to do this as a thank you to them. $175 for a new windshield (had been quoted btw $260 and $400 elsewhere on-line) and zero hassle. They have my highest recommendation!
