Review content:
I was in a recent fender-bender (not at-fault) and I had an appt at Brandywine Coachworks to assess the damage and have the work done there. I admittedly arrived a little late for the appt. due to an unanticipated road closure on my commute. However, the poor attitude that I received from the receptionist upon my arrival was uncalled for. I was supposed to meet with a Geico rep at the shop to assess the damage and upon arriving, I was told in a not-so-friendly manner to have a seat and that the Geico rep would be with me ""if he has time"" to fit me in. Again - I get it..I was a little late. But if you don't have time to see me, then please just tell me to reschedule. Don't tell me in a snooty manner to sit and leave me guessing as to whether or not someone is going to be able to inspect my car. She then had the nerve to ask me to sign a form giving them permission to work on my car - which seemed odd since she basically told me that I'd be lucky if the Geico inspector even meets with me today. And why would I want to give them consent to work on my car when I didn't yet even know what type of work they'd be doing on it? Shouldn't the paperwork come *after* the inspection?!?
If the receptionist's customer service ""skills"" translate in any way to the quality of work done on cars, then I'd avoid Brandywine Coachworks like the plague. Though this may be unlikely, I wasn't about to sit and wait to find out. Appointment cancelled - there are plenty of quality local body shops that won't turn away business.
