Review content:
While the eye doctor was great, I was sorely disappointed to find out that this Pearl Vision would only partially accept my vision insurance. Despite 8 weeks of phone calls and authorizations from my provider, the manager/owner refused to file the necessary paperwork in order for me to utilize my benefits. In the end, the retail price they were charging me became the ""wholesale price"". Since the vision insurance works with providers based on the ""honor system"", what should have been my discounted ""wholesale"" price was exactly the same amount as was on the retail sales tag. After weeks of trying to clear up this matter, the owner/manager felt it was more important to make a profit on the sale of one pair of frames, rather than honor the customer's vision insurance. It was a terrible experience which lasted much too long, and was more stressful than should have been. My insurance company was initially to blame for the confusion, but the retailer was unprofessional in handling the situation once it was cleared up with the insurance company. The manager/owner refused to return messages, phone calls, or would hang up on me whenever I called to check the status of my order. In the end, I left the frames there, took my lenses and went to another store which took care of the whole matter in 10 minutes. I would not recommend this store to anyone who is going through their vision insurance plan. This store seems more about making a dollar, than providing genuine customer service. Beware that the frames they sell you may only be sold at another Pearl Vision, if anywhere else at all. This ""national chain"" is really independently owned franchises which are in no way connected to other stores of the same name. I was even disqualified for a small discount for purchasing frames AND lenses, because they were purchased at two different Pearle Vision stores. Pros: eye doctor was great, parking in front Cons: customer service, management, unwilling to honor vision insurance plan
