I had my AWESOME experience with Curltopia about 2 weeks ago. I must say I was absolutely nervous because I had never been to a ""natural"" hair salon before and I had no idea what to expect. My stylist was Giselle and from the moment I sat in her chair, I immediately felt as though I was in good hands. My hair was a HOT MESS and she made me feel so comfortable that my ""mess"" was manageable. She began to explain to me step by step the importance of hydration, techniques I could use at home and started suggesting products. After her comforting me about my decision to get the BIG CHOP, I decided I wanted some color to help me cope. She is a genius at color. I have been to stylists who never get it right and she got it right the first time! I was completely amazed. After she finished coloring, cutting, hydrating and styling my hair I was amazed at how much of a curl my hair had to it! She found my curl. She gave me a detailed list of products to use and they have been wonderful for my hair. My hair looks amazing even though the chop had to grow on me. However, I get the most compliments on my hair that I have ever had. People absolutely love it!!!!! I tell them if only you knew what kinky mess I had before! The shop was nice, atmosphere was serene, and I was offered beverages several times. My wait was not long and I felt as though Giselle took the time to hold my hand as a first time client. I would highly suggest Curltopia. I was sooo nervous but I am convinced I made the right decision. I even made my mom go and she loved it! To those concerned about the prices, it is pricey but you REALLY get what you pay for! It is worth it! My next appt is tomorrow and I am so excited!!!
