I decided to go natural about 4 weeks ago and began researching salons in Atlanta that focused on natural hair. A saw one of my colleagues who had a beautiful style; she told me she went to Curltopia. I drove to the salon that day to check it out. The salon was beautiful, clean, and inviting. I made an appointment that day.
I thought I was going to transition into my natural style. Needless to say, I quickly tired of having two textures of hair. I called to see if I could get an appointment sooner than 3 weeks to do the big chop. I got an earlier appointment for 8/27. I was not disappointed...
Maxine was my stylist. She was very personable and was very encouraging. She told me exactly what she was doing along the way. She made me feel very comfortable through my entire appointment.
I now have curls! After 30 years of relaxers, I have beautiful curls! Mind you, after having hair that was chin length in the front and a little longer in the back, my hair is now VERY short; my husband's hair is longer than mine right now, but my hair is CUTE!!! Maxine did a fabulous job. And she told me exactly what to do to take care of my hair now that I'm home. She gave me a ""prescription"" with the products I should be using and how I should use them. And I'll go back in a couple week for a follow up.
I left the salon so very happy. And my husband was so thrilled for me and my new look. I love Curltopia! I so highly recommend this salon for anyone who is natural or is thinking about the big chop! Thank you Maxine!
