Review content:
When I had my first child, Dr. Micheal Butner was my obstetrician, in an office with a few others. It was hard to get in to see him without at least a week's notice. His bedside manner was very difficult to deal with, but that was just the first of many complaints I would come to have. As is general practice, I was given an HIV test. They said they would only call if something was wrong. They called... I was already so emotional with my hormones going crazy, and hearing "I'm calling about your HIV test" about sent me over the edge! Well, they called to tell me it was negative!
When it finally came to delivering, I was over two weeks past due. My baby had gotten very large. I was admitted into the hospital at around 5 pm, Dr. Butner said the baby would be born by midnight. Well, a little after noon the next day it was finally over. It was horrible. Dr. Butner was screaming at me, a nurse hit me... Dr. Butner had to use special tools to get my son out because he had grown so large. He ended up giving my son a black eye that he had until he was 6 months old!
As you can see, my personal experience was not a good one! But I can't say that all of his patients have it that bad. It would be a judgement call on your part, but I would say there are much better OB's in Muskogee.
