Review content:
I bought a used bike here a few months ago. While their used bike prices are much better than the used bike prices at Chicago Cycle, the great ""pre-sale inspection"" they'll tell you about doesn't really happen. I took it back a day after picking it up because the battery was in such horrible condition, and again later for a non-functional headlamp switch, which technically made the bike illegal. When they replaced the battery, they ran the battery vent tube straight down into the pipes, and it had melted before i even got the bike home. I also had serious arguments with service guys about whether or not it is normal for parts to just be dangling off the bike, unattached to anything. I got the sense that they were trying to keep the bike in the shop as long as possible to run my warranty out. They did replace the battery for free, but they should also have done all the other work for free since it all should have come up in their ""pre-sale inspection."" Worst thing: they flat out lied to me and said they'd done an oil change. Well, I took an oil change class yesterday, and that bike's oil had NEVER been changed. It was BLACK BLACK BLACK, and the filter was the dirtiest oil filter I'd ever seen in my life. Thank God I didn't take their word for it. It's a good bike and I love it, but I will NEVER take it back there for service, and would never recommend doing so to anyone, nor would I recommend buying a used bike there unless you want to ride the service department's tail about doing what they're supposed to do.
Pros: Got the hard-to-find bike I wanted.
Cons: Incompetent service department, no pre-sale inspection, and lies.
