Review content:
I took my vintage platinum engagement ring to Consumer Direct Jewelers in Roseville, MN to have a new center diamond put in and new platinum prongs built because the original diamond fell out. Alan Lenze worked on my ring himself and defaced it by soldering my ring with white gold instead of platinum. Turns out he doesn't have the proper equipment to solder platinum. But, he and his assistant neglected to inform me of that. Now, I have a vintage platinum ring with yellow solder visible to the naked eye. Alan Lenze told me he would refund my money, but he wanted the diamond, the platinum prongs, and the white gold solder back. There was no way I was letting him near my ring to do more damage.
