I got hit by these guys too parked at a fire line for a few minutes. Had to fork out $85.00 or else he was going to take it to the depot for $170.00 at a minimum. So he says. I must say tho, I was pretty impress how fast he locked the front wheels of the car. It literally took no more than five seconds. He made up some stories how the owners have been calling. I know the owner of my complex and they never called. Go figure.

(E) (i) General authorization to remove or commence removal of a vehicle at the towing company?s discretion shall not be delegated to a towing company or its affiliates except in the case of a vehicle unlawfully parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or in a fire lane, or in a manner which interferes with an entrance to, or exit from, the private property.
If you're in Sunnyvale, beware. They're out there... prowling.
