Already having experience in Muay Thai, finding a gym that suited my need to progress and learn something new every class led me to American Boxing. I had been to other MMA gyms in San Diego and many of them were very franchise-based. Even though the size of the classes at AB are small, that allows Dave and Gina to focus more on the student and their technique. If you want to just give your money away for the sake of saying you're associated w/ an MMA gym, by all means go to any random gym and do it. However, if you want to be from a gym that has undeniably the best stand-up of San Diego and be proud to rep them every day, American Boxing is where you want to be!
