Review content:
First the good. Upon entering, my wife and I noticed the crowd at the bar and decided to go where the people were. The bartender informed us of the Happy Hour Specials, as well as the upcoming ?All You Can Eat Pasta Night,? both of which sounded like great deals. We decided to take advantage of the aforementioned Happy Hour prices and order two entrees. I got Lasagna Bolognese and my wife, upon the high recommendation of the bartender, chose the Chicken Marsala. Both entrees came with salad and bread, making both meals absolutely delicious and well worth the price, even had there not been the $2.00 Happy Hour discount. Now the bad. The owner came around and casually chatted with the 5 or so people that were at the bar before introducing himself to us. While this was very quaint and pleasant, things quickly turned around when he sat down and proceeded to alternate between long yarns of stories that either had nothing to do with the conversation/made absolutely no sense, and complaining about his physical pains. He was literally moaning and groaning at the bar until we left. Who knows how long it continued and honestly, if I wanted to hear that, I?d call my mother in law. And the ugly. As if the nonstop complaining of physical dilemmas wasn?t bad enough, we also had to hear the owner berate the staff, repeatedly AND in front of customers. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the service at the bar, yet the numerous condescending and off the mark comments he made were totally uncalled for and made everyone around visibly uncomfortable. Right before we left, I had to use the restroom (that?s a whole other story) located behind the kitchen and I could hear the man screaming at the kitchen staff through the door. All in all, I don?t think my wife and I will return. The food and service were very, very good, but the bad and the ugly aspects were too much to take. Take out maybe.
