Review content:
I will be forever grateful to this organization. They have been the source of three wonderful dogs, for me, and helped me when I could no longer keep a cat. Look on their website for an excellent article on what non-euthanizing shelters are really about, compared to their own open acceptance shelter policy. (Most anyone who has tried to take an animal to such a shelter knows how they can make that claim: they just simply won't take animals that are problematic or may need euthanizing. In other words, they leave the dirty work for someone else: they may not euthanize pets, but they don't welcome them either.) This shelter is wide open to the community, and serves it well. The costs provide them with resources for the animals, and I suspect little more. They are, after all, a non-profit organization. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new pet, or needing help with one that can't be kept for whatever reason. Pros: Animal care, integrity, community support, respect for all living creatures
