This little gem of a restaurant is unbelievable. The atmosphere is perfect and the wait staff are extremely responsive to any requests regarding seating or environment. The service is five star. The cocktails are perfect. Try the '007.' Appetizers are creative and wonderful. We had the baked brie with raspberry sauce. The food is freshly and expertly prepared. I had the duck as it was on special. My wife had a salmon dish. Most US restaurants to not know how to properly prepare duck, it is either too dry or too oily. I travel to Europe frequently due to my job including the Czech Republic where duck is a specialty. Alex, the chef at Rouge, prepared the duck perfectly. The only other surprising, small restaurant I have dined in in the US that nailed duck was Schumackers in New Prague, MN. Wine selection is very good and is well chosen and complimented our meals perfectly. Deserts are also creative and extremely satisfying as are their after-dinner drinks. Finally, coffee was freshly brewed and satisfying. If you are searching for a truly fine restaurant with excellent atmosphere, food and service, this is a winner and a total surprise to find outside the Dallas/Addison scene. You can't go wrong. Please consider supporting this small-business restaurant. The next time you are thinking of visiting a chain restaurant like Red Lobster, Johnny this or that, visit a true gem instead, Rouge Moderne Bistro.
