We have visited Red Bar Winery a few times. They are a welcome addition to downtown Elgin. All of the food we've had have been quite delicious. Their wine is unique and quite a delight.
We had ......
--Baked Brie en Crou?te. It was great. They were wonderfully prepared with a delicious blackberry preserves and fruit. We only wished that they could be bigger.
--Filet Mignon. This might have been the best Filet Mignon that I've tasted. Simply incredible.
--Cheese tasting board. Great and unique cheeses. Wonderful with the wine.
--Antipasta plate. Nice assortment of meats and cheeses. and unique olives.
Their unique artisan wines are a treat. Highly recommended. Price is a bit higher than other places but great food and wine and nice ambiance.
