Review content:
I have a relatively new Chev Avalanche that I spent my retirement on...love the truck. Of course, after the warranty was up I started having some computer/electrical problems that were diagnosed at a generic car shop. It happened to be an issue that Chev was aware of, but wouldn't pay to fix since it wasn't a safety issue. After being a very dissatisfied Chev customer straight out of college, with my first new car being an absolute lemon - so bad that as soon as the warranty was up on this Chev S10 I got rid of it because I couldn't afford to continue to replace everything. I bought a Toyota and swore I would never do a Chev again. However, after 15 years and a couple hundred thousand miles on the Toyota, I wanted something with a few more toys...and against my better judgement got the Avalanche. After the diagnosis and >$100 to find out it was going to continue to happen, I decided I would phone Chev corporation, since I was sure no one else would/could do anything. I ended up calling Hiester Chev on 401 and starting just railing on the poor lady I was transferred to after no one had a number to ""Mr. Chevrolet"". I was literally yelling and swearing and Holly never got upset or interrupted. She finally asked me to bring my truck in and they would fix the problem...for free...even though I hadn't bought the truck there....even though I yelled at her for about 20 minutes. She got me in the next day, fixed the issue, introduced me to the service manager and they both made it clear they would do what they needed to do to make things right...I still can't believe that someone, stepped up, cared, followed through. I will be a customer for life. Thank you Holly! Thank you Hiester Chevrolet.
