Review content:
Bakery on the Common in Natick, MA is probably the worst cafe I have ever been to. I really wish I could give negative stars for this cafe. I keep trying to go back to actually enjoy the food, but I never do. I once ordered a sausage, egg and cheese burrito and was summarily disappointed.
Honestly, how do you fail on such an easy task? It's sausage.
Chicken Caesar wrap - Poorly made, loose wrap with bland chicken and weak dressing.
Pastries! I love pastries. Well these pastries LOOK great, but taste more like marzipan and shortening then a light and fluffy pasty. The cupcakes are stale and have no taste besides the cheap ingredients they use.
Turkey Sandwich, eh,. it was ok. But, stale bread at a bakery, come on!
Ok, I can forgive the terrible food if I am hungry, but let's talk about the service. One of the surly ""barrista's"" at the counter is one of the most misanthropic people I have ever met and scoffs at any request that you make (could you tell me what kind of coffee you have?). He throws the coffee at you and turns his head away in discontent while he shoves his mitt in your face to take your cash (no credit card under $5). Perhaps I am mistaken but this person clearly needs either a vacation or to get laid. There are however a few nice ladies that work weekday mornings and one nice guy.
You can't use your laptop on the weekends, and even when you can there are few outlets and the signal is weak (on purpose).
You have to elbow your way through a bunch of angry suburban Mom's to get your crappy overpriced food and then pay 20% more than other other coffee shop to eat it.
This place has no redeeming value and I hope no one ever goes back. Oh and don't trust the prices on the board, they sometimes charge you a different price at register.
