Review content:
Don't judge this book by its cover!!! It is a beautiful place inside and out, but the innkeepers were severely lacking in people skills. Only God's grace kept them from totally ruining my son's wedding. When I arrived at the front door, the ""host"" finally opened the door and just stared at my sisters and me. No ""good afternoon"" , ""welcome to Garden Manor"", no introduction of himself ~~ just a stare. When I identified myself as the groom's mother and said I had brought the wedding flowers ~ he looked disdainfully at the cooler and said ""what else is in there?"" just flowers. He said ... ""no, what else is in there?"" Just flowers. ""no water?'' no ~~ ""OK I guess you can bring it in here"". Never a word of welcome. His wife was equally ungracious to my sister who had gone around back to try and see where we should take the flowers. I could go on and on as this lack of common courtesy continued throughout the evening. The food was delicious, but their treatment of family and friends left a terrible taste in our mouths and knots in our stomachs. Be warned! Make sure you have a STRONG wedding coordinator to act as a buffer. The lady of the manor even told the minister SHE was running the show!!!
