Review content:
I was looking for a difference place to take out my husband for his birthday. We live in Boston and know of many great spots with terrific food. I wanted to try something new and what a disappointment Mantra was. The decor didn?t really had a theme, as the orange/salmon curtains where in place to hide stuff and the floor was very poorly cared for. The walls had left over tape from past events and the atmosphere was not as pleasant as described on their site. We were sited and the table wobbly for beginners and my husbanded was sited on the ?couch? where we first thought it would be super comfortable and intimate, but the upholstery was ripped and dirty. We requested to be moved, but we should had left. To compensate the food was ok, but nothing impressive, so we were not deeply regretting by the fact we decided to stay until the ?restaurant? was being taking apart, to turn into a club. Tables and chairs were being removed while we were still eating, drinking and talking. My husband and I thought it was rude and tried to ignore what was happening around us, until the waiter come to us saying that we need to move because they needed to remove our table. We then decided we were going to leave and not move. To top of our experience I was seating and waiting for my husband while he went to the restroom and I was asked to be moved again. HORRIBLE ATHMOSPHERE, OK FOOD AND RUDE MANNERS. We went to have desert at the Liberty Hotel and had a blast!!!!
Pros: ok food
Cons: terrible decor, ripped sits
