Last night we spent a wonderful evening with a group of friends at Knife&Fork. Everyone in our group chose to do the 6 course tasting menu, which we have had before and highly recommended. It is the ideal way to go at this intimate candlelit restaurant with attentive waiters and music playing softly in the background. The tasting menu gives everyone the opportunity to really experience the chefs excellent creations, each course is a delight to the taste buds and flow smoothly into one another with just the right portions. My personal favorites were the rock shrimp marinated in curry with grapefruit, apple and squid ink emulsion with green salad and the braised short ribs which are so tender and juicy the meat falls gently off the bone. The chef also makes his own Irish bread served with butter and sea salt, delicious! Not many places in New York give you enough time to enjoy an evening without feeling rushed like Knife&Fork, we had a wonderful time here with our friends and will definitely come back again and again! Pros: Excellent food, great wine and beers
