The office staff at this practice is amazing and helpful and the location is great so it is with a certain amount of regret that Dr. Mahon has not panned out to be the doctor to suit my family's needs. From the get go, I felt her condescending nature but let it go because my feathers are not easily ruffled. Like others, I felt as though my office visits were always rushed and that there was never enough time to fully explain what was happening with my health or the health of my children. At one point, Dr. Mahon detected a minor growth that she felt needed a closer look in order to rule out a cancer. She sent me to an emergency room and requested a test that I ended up not needing and never, ever followed up with me about my health. She never even asked me about the test results or so much as inquired about where I was in my diagnosis. I have since moved practices and after just 1 visit, my new doctor followed up with me via phone, letter and e-mail. Additionally, I have NEVER had a doctor request a follow-up with me and then charge me for an office visit. But this is the policy at Dr. Mahon's practice. She requested a follow-up and then charged me for it! What a scam. I never would have ""followed up"" if I thought it was a money-making ploy. When I questioned her about this charge, she cut me off and became authoratative and hostile, as if I had a lot of nerve to question the doctor. Consequently, we will not return to this practice. I, too, am a professional...my time is just as valuable as hers and my intellect just as great.
