Review content:
When I first heard about the Mississippi Job Corps Center (MSJCC), I was very skeptical. I had a relative attend around 2003 and it seemed to have not helped her much. I still decided to go and I am so grateful that I did. Honestly, it?s up to the student to be successful in the program. Nobody will hold your hand the entire way, and honestly, nobody should. I went in to take the nursing program. It only took 3 months, since I already had my diploma. At a business meeting, the Business Community Liaison talked to us about ""Advanced Training"" through Job Corps. I made an appointment and followed up with him and today I'm proud to say that I'm enrolled in the TCU Advanced Training Program in Washington, D.C. The Mississippi center got me to where I am today. There are many opportunities within the center. Before I came to D.C., the Mississippi Job Corps Center took me on clothing trips so that I was prepared and needless to say, they paid for my plane ticket and luggage. I also received cash bonuses before I left. I still have a $1,000 to pick up from MSJCC when I finish Advanced Training. I Love the Mississippi Job Corps Center and it bothers me to hear people say negative statements about the Center. All the student has to do is show up, be respectful, and show them you want to better your life, and they will indeed do the rest. I?M LIVING PROOF!!
