I had my car inspected at Short Pump Midas (the Virginia State Inspection); they called 3 hours later and told me that they had to fail my car because of a loose fan speed control cap. Then they offered me that if I pay them $32 to replace it, my car will pass. Can you believe it? Fail an inspection because of a loose fan speed control cap! It is no difference than robbing. I took my car away and had it passed at a different shop. Later on, my co-worker told me that Midas is infamous for such practices. Don't go to Midas if you can.
