Worst Nightmare II!!!!By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/08Upon arrival at Eden Crest we wanted to drop a trailer off, but we couldn't check in till 4. No problem we went ahead checked in and was given directions to our cabin, they would call us with the code at 4 pm to get into the cabin. Once we got to the cabin SURPRISE there were 2 maintenance men there, that told us the sewage pump was broken. They sent us back to the office, said that no one was staying in that cabin. When we got back to the office we were told we could have a 3 bedroom cabin (we had 11 people) with air mattresses or a 8 bedroom cabin for $250 more and we couldn't sleep in 2 of the beds. Our cabin was a 5 bedroom 5 bath. We asked the manager who was handling our situation if that seemed reasonable to her and she said ""No."" We understand that these things happen. What upsets us is the fact the men at our cabin when we had got there told us that it had been out for three days prior to our arrival. In my eyes if they knew the sewage pump was out and we weren't going to be able to stay in our cabin why did they #1 over book and #2 not have something else for us to stay in. They knew we would be there we had paid for our cabin 3 months in advance. Further more she informed us that she would refund our money but was not their responsibility to help us find accommodations. She also stated that there were motels all over Pigeon Forge. We understood that but if we wanted a motel we would of booked a motel for the weekend. We wanted a cabin which is why we took the time to find one suitable for us and our other guest that we invited to go on this trip. We also talked to people throughout the rest of our weekend that said we should be thankful that is all that happened to us. One last note for those who think that this situation is not all that bad, while we were in the office trying to work something out with the manager another unhappy guest of Eden Crest was wanting to get a new cabin, he felt as if his was unlivable...MICE!User Rating LocationWas this review helpful?
