This is my first time writing a review, but I felt compelled to do so after reading the prior reviews of Mikel's. My husband, son, and I have been going to Mikel's since October of 2007 and have enjoyed every visit. My mother, who lives in the Panhandle, insists on booking a visit when she is in the area, too. What I like best about the salon is that I do not have to sit in the same boring chair while I am having my hair colored and cut. Instead, I move from a room where I have my hair colored to a room where I have my hair washed and rinsed (the highlight of my visit), and finally I settle in to the front room where my hair is cut and styled. Having my hair washed and rinsed is the highlight of my visit because I receive up to two FREE perks (hands dipped, steam towel on my face, scalp massage, etc.) at this time. My husband enjoys getting the scalp massage and drinking a cold beer during his hair cut. I realize hair is an important part of someone's identity and that is why I have recommended this salon to all of my friends because I trust the people who work there. They all have had positive experiences and are repeat customers.
