Review content:
I just went to Blind Pig on Friday and on St. Pat's because we were looking for hopping places to go while I was visiting Cleveland on West. 6th. I'm not going to comment on Friday because oddly enough, downtown was dead at every club, so we left early. On St. Pat's it was definitely one of the places to be. Upstairs they had a live band that was fantastic, downstairs they played Top 40. Great really enjoyed the place except for the fact that out of the four bartenders that served me only the last one was competent. I arrived at 7 on St. Pats, understanding that it would be busy and a little chaotic. I went downstairs and it was not that busy. There were people dancing, but the bartenders were obviously not slammed because they kept having personal conversations and ignoring people like me waving credit cards. My first bartender even looked at me and moved down the row to this guy, got him his beer, looked at me again and went onto another guy, who happened to be my friend so I decided to interrupt and order the round since I was paying anyways. Long story short, she was rude, I ordered at Bombay Sapphire Martini (yes on st. pats, i'm 27) and she looked at me pulled out a chilled martini in it and said "All you want is Bombay in it?" I returned that with "No, I want a martini." She said, what goes in it, "I was like Vermouth, Bombay, and some olives." She then walked to her barback and asked what was in a martini, he said Vermouth, she looked for it and "couldn't find it". That was it for me. I then asked for a Kettle One and tonic and she put in plastic bottle liquor. Needless to say, no tip. This story was for the benefit of those who look at afterwork as a cocktail after work, and not getting hammered at 5 when I'm off the clock. I like the atmosphere, especially for St. Pats, but it may have more of the college crowd and less of a mix of young and old(er). Pros: Good Dance Music, plus Live Music Venue Cons: Service
