Sunrise Montessori is a very special place. My daughter attended the school from age 3 to 5. My search for the right preschool was long and thorough. After narrowing it down to two places someone said to me that we often put to much focus on the visual environment of a school and not enough on the relationships that are happening there. This brought me back to a second visitation where I immediately noticed the depth of what was happening in this school. At Sunrise Montessori you will find children being respected. Every child is nurtured in this environment. My daughter is leaving with a great sense of fairness, kindness, love and love of learning. The Montessori method is so wonderful and I think generally misunderstood. I encourage you to visit Sunrise Montessori and see their staff in action. Pay attention to the way the teachers interact with the children and observe the Montessori materials and teaching. Its beautiful, rich and purposeful. The quality is extremely high. The experience that Mrs Anne, the owner/director, brings to this program is what sets SMS aside from all others. She and her staff really know children and celebrate their uniqueness. They teach with patience and direction. All teachers at SMS are certified Montessori instructors and my daughter loves each of them. We will miss being apart of this school. We'll miss the families too!
