It's hard to find someone to work on a 30 year old stereo receiver. I brought mine to Stereo Hospital to get checked out and repaired if necessary. They charged me $40 to look at it and would give me an estimate for any repairs. They called me a week later and said that it would be $140 to repair including the $40 I already gave them. They said that it had oxidation and was really dirty and just needed to be cleaned. They said it would be done in a day. I picked it up and they were unable to give me any details as to what specifically they did to it. I got it home and the interior of the receiver was completely covered with dust. There was a finger print on a panel so I know they at least looked in there. For $140 it should have been completely dust free as we all know dust is not electronics friend. My guess is they plugged it in, it worked and they billed me for nothing. They acted funny and evasive when questioned. After 30+ years in business myself I can tell when I'm being lied to. Don't trust this provider.
