Ten minutes from the airport, in the Ballona Wetlands which were miraculously saved from the jaws of commercial development, this jewel of a hotel transforms an LA trip into a peaceful respite. Picture a breakfast room that opens to the wetlands, with china and a delicious meal (at no extra charge), a living room for relaxing. Each hotel room is entirely different and decorated in a seaside cottage style with art, great bathtubs and interesting layouts, wonderful bedding. You are greeted with homemade cookies waiting in your room and a welcome note signed by everyone on the staff. Easy parking at no cost right by the elevator. This inn gives new meaning to the expression: ""a home away from home"". Expect wonderful and friendly service; you'll get it at the Inn at the Playa del Rey!
Pros: location so near airport and convenient, stunning little inn
