One day, we decided to be adventurous and try this place. The lady at the business we frequent in the area stated the vegetarian food here was excellent, so we decided to give it a whirl.
The Good.... is really clean.
The spicy coconut balls were really good, too. So, good, I was already making plans to return once I had the first bite.
Also, the owner has posted pictures of the food on the menu around the counterspace, so if you are not familiar with Indian language , you can point at what you want.
However, if you are not of Indian descent, don't eat in...seriously.
After ordering about $6 of stuff on the menu, we were served the food on paper plates and styrofoam cup.....this was while there wer approx 11 other patrons in the place...who were eating off actual plates and containers for their spices. Well, we thought to give them the benefit of the doubt...perhaps the dishes ran out, and needed more to wash.
Also, when we decided, despite this, to order more food, no matter what we tried to order...were told by server....""That is not on the menu. We are out."" We decided to finish our drinks, so stayed to finish them. The final straw came when a customer, who came in after us, ordered the very item we were told was out, and received it , no problem.
Because of this, a 3-4 star rating is reduced to a 2 star. Throw in the fact that they appear to want to keep their business hours a secret...no hours on door, and of course, after the above treatment, we did not expect to get an honest answer.
Definitely, not a place to eat if your are not of Indian descent. Too bad, because the food I did have beat most of the so-called Indian fare I had had before.
