Review content:
We couldn't wait til Toby's opened, nothing like it in LV. We are from the South, we enjoy country music and home cooking. The waitress was not the friendliest we have ever encountered. The portions of entrees were large but not the best cooking I have had. The ribs & chicken fried steak were good, but the meatloaf was worse than Stouffer's frozen meatloaf. The corn bread and the coating on the fried orka were dry, and who fries okra whole? The turnip greens were different from what I am used too, but still good. The mashed potatoes were good also. My question when looking at the menu was ""where is the fried chicken""? What is southern cooking without fried chicken?
Maybe ya'll should consult Toby's Grandma or Mama for some good recipes !!
We are willing to give it another try on our next trip and hope for improvments.
Pros: atmoshpere, prices ok
Cons: some food, waitress, long wait for food
