Review content:
My Mom and I had a great experience. Hidalgo is now located in Clifton Heights, on Baltimore Pike. Cozy, the music festive but not overpowering, the decor charming. The chips are fantastic, crispy with a subtle kind of sweetness to them, washed down with a Mexican mango soda. I ordered the Mole Poblano, and was delighted to have it served rather artfully and had an amazing taste, smooth and warming. No spoilers on what my Mom ordered, I expect she'll be posting review of her own. The service was friendly, our server (is she the owner?) was informative and obviously passionate about the food, a passion which certainly can't be bad for lovers of authentic Mexican food. I'm looking forward to my next visit. OH, and the desert! I can't remember the exact name, a pair of empanadas stuffed with apple, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with vanilla ice cream. Very good!
