Review content:
We came here expecting a lot based on the reviews on citysearch, and were *really* disappointed. The decor and welcome was promising, we went on a Sunday night and there was a llively buzz about the place. Then we ordered a couple of margaritas, which were obviously made from a mix and sickly sweet (ugh) Despite this, we ordered a couple of the recommended dishes, starting with guacamole. 20 minutes later, our Guac hadn't arrived... we finally had our waitress come to replenish our water and asked her where it might be... she thought it had already come out and we ended up having it delivered along with our main courses... so we sent it back. I had the prawns appetizer and a bowl of soup - the prawns were actually pretty good. My boyfriend had the pork shoulder, which was very dry. We won't be going back to Trebol - the search for an awesome Mexican place in Portland continues! Pros: great decor, friendly staff Cons: sickly sweet margartitas, so-so food
