Review content:
Although this place has a nice ambiance on the inside, it is severely lacking in the food quality and service departments. For dinner service, it took at least 30 minutes for the appetizers to come out (come on - gumbo? Is it that difficult to ladle out of the soup pan?), and there was absolutely no bread as we were waiting. The appetizers arrived lukewarm, and their oyster dish was a mere three on a bed of lettuce. I was so hungry I began eating the lettuce, too. When we had to wait another 30 minutes for the entrees to come out, we begged the waitress for some dinner rolls and got a measly TWO. Then the entrees finally arrived, and they were lukewarm as well. It's not like the place was busy, either. Lots of empty tables, and apparently lots of people were being turned away because they didn't have reservations (we didn't, but got in). The food was definitely overpriced for the quantity and quality. This was my first trip to Lake Charles' downtown area, and turned me off completely. I won't be back.
Pros: Nice ambiance
Cons: Lukewarm, overpriced food, SLLOOOWWW service
