We took our 07 Dodge there because it was making a loud noise. We were told it was the Alternator and was given an estimate of $700.00 to fix it. They told us the Alternator was $395.00 because it was a 'special' Alternator. After picking our bottom jaw up off the floor, we called Autozone and found out that there was nothing 'special' about the Alternator for our car and Autozone's price was $170.00. What kind of rip off place marks up their parts costs over 100%? You know Louetta Automotive doesn't pay retail for their parts so they were going to charge us more than double their cost for the part. We told them that we were going to p/u our car and have it fixed by another repair shop. They charged us $110.00 just to diagnose the problem! We paid $375.00 to have the Alternator replaced elsewhere. Unfortunately it ended up costing us $485.00 when you add the $110 diagnostic cost. Save yourself grief and money - STAY AWAY FROM LOUETA AUTOMOTIVE! There are way too many other car repair shops in Cypress.
