I aslo took my pc to this company on recommendations. My internet was slow and I had popups. I figured it was due to spyware/adware, but didn't want to take on the cleaning process myself figuring it wouldn't cost too much to have it done ""professionally"". I called ahead and was told they would do an evaluation for $45 and would contact me afterwards to explain what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. Three days after I took it in, I received a call and was told I had a bad hard drive and a major infestation of malware and that it would cost $350 to fix. I said I would pick it up and did not authorize repairs. When I arrived to pick it up, I was handed a bill for $75. I asked why it was not the $45 evaluation I was quoted and was told that in the process of evaluating it, some repair work was done. I explained that I did not authorize any work to be done and therefor should only be charged for the original $45 evaluation. I ended up having to talk to a manager to get them to charge me the $45 originally quoted and was left feeling like I had ripped them off somehow (the implication in tone coming from the Manager). Needless to say, I took my pc home, spent a couple of hours cleaning the ""malware"" out myself and will never go back to this company. By the way, it has been about 4 months now since this happened and my ""bad"" hard drive is still working like a champ. Pros: parking, location Cons: improper diagnosis, bait and switch, rudeness
