Review content:
Was referred to this vet by several friends and I was planning on making an appointment to go meet him. Unfortunately, before that could happen, I came home from work and found the smaller of my two dogs (a Weiner Dog) had swallowed a rawhide chewy stix and was choking. Although it was after closing when I arrived, the ladies at the front desk waited for me and the vet's wife greeted me, took my dog Sadie to the back where they took some Xrays to see the thing was stuck way down her throat. Dr. Cohen showed me the problem and thoroughly explained everything about retrieving the chewy with some kind of video grabber and then proceeded to get it out, saving my dog's life. I saw the pictures of her throat and they were pretty bad. The next day, my dog went home, ""happy as a clam"" with a ""Princess"" bow on. It's so comforting to have someone to turn to to help your dog in a crisis (or not) that instantly knows what to do, helps you unselfishly, and is a pleasure to do business with. I'll never forget Dr. Cohen and his employees. If you need a wonderful vet, whether or not your pet's life depends upon it, go see Dr. Jeff Cohen in Newport. Pros: Quality and Service Oriented Cons: Parking
