Businiess name:  Maggiano's Little Italy

Review content:
I used to frequent the Maggiano's location in Denver when I lived there. I was excited to see that Soutpoint also had a location. I have gone on numerous occasions, and the food is great. ""Rigatoni D"" is one of my favorites, and they have great salads. (I always get the 1/2 order when available and have some leftover for lunch the next day.) My husband and I have boycotted their dinner service, however. On several occasions, we have observed inattentive and unconcerned host staff. It is impossible to have a pleasant experience waiting for a table there. The bar/waiting area is often standing-room only, and it is difficult to sit down, get a drink, or even get out of the way of off-road strollers. I had been employed as a hostess during college, and I am constantly amazed as I watch the staff at the Southpoint Maggiano's greet patrons with a blank stare and stand around as tables become available. I understand that often times tables are being held for larger parties or to keep servers from becoming overwhelmed, but not that often. The host staff acts as if they are doing you a favor letting you eat there. If you go, go during less busy times where your contact with the front podium will be minimized. Pros: food, live music in bar Cons: crowded, long wait times
