I took a down comforter to this dry cleaners to have it cleaned during the beginning of January 2011, it was supposed to be ready a week later (before we left to go out of town) and when we went to pick it up, it was still being cleaned. We left to go on vacation and we came home the first week of February and went in to pick it up, again. We got the blanket home took it out of the package and the whole comforter was stained with huge black spots! The very next day we took the blanket back and the daughter of the owner was extremely rude and told me if I wanted to have it re-cleaned I would have to pay again. I then spoke to her father (the owner) and he said he would send it in to have it re-cleaned right away. Two or three weeks went by and I finally went back in to pick it up, this time, the daughter didn't have any record of it being cleaned again, she had no idea where it was and she would have her dad (the owner) call me. The next day, I still did not hear from the owner so we went back in, the owner brought out the comforter, but before I took it I had him remove it from the packaging and to my surprise, there were even more stains on it. It looked as if they threw it in the back and literally dumped cups of black ink all over it. He once again, told me he would have it re-cleaned. The next time we went in to pick up, still completely ruined. I told him I would like a refund for the blanket, he said he could not do that unless he put it through his insurance, so I said I was fine with that, I brought him the tags from the original purchase and the amount I paid along with the store managers card and contact information from where I purchased it from. He said he would let us know within a week what was going to happen after that and he failed, once again, to contact us so we, once again, had to go back into the cleaners and again, the owner went in circles saying he couldn't refund us, but he sent the blanket back into the insurance place and they would send it out to be re-cleaned. Finally, last week, (May 25, 2011) my husband went into the cleaners to pick up and get a refund for the amount we paid to originally have it cleaned. When he brought it home, I took it apart and now its NOT even my comforter!! Its a totally different type of blanket, different brand, different tags, different everything!! I called him, and asked him what he was going to do about this now and he simply said, nothing. Enjoy your ""new"" blanket?!?! On top of all of this, we still have not received the credit to our bank account for the amount we paid!! I am out of ideas of what I can do and now I am out of a $300 Down Comforter.
