Review content:
I'm a crafter. Lots of people in Portland are crafters. So why is it that I had never been to Knittn Kitten before a couple weeks ago? I've been there four times in the past two weeks and I'll tell you why:
- They have the largest selection of vintage fabric that I've ever seen in one shop
- Everything is priced at thrift store bargain prices. Embroidery floss? 20 cents. 3 yards of antique lace trim? $1.25. Vintage fabric? $3 per yard. How about wool yarn? Try 50 cents.
- The staff is so very helpful - if they don't have it out on the floor, they probably have it in back! Just ask! They put new stuff out every day - so shop often!
- It's green - everything is secondhand recycled form estate sales and people cleaning out their craft closets.
There are a million more reasons to check it out - but you'll have to experience them first hand. Go see the gals at Knittn Kitten - they're so nice and they've eliminated my dependency on corporate craft houses! They can help you too!
Pros: Helpful staff, low prices, wide selection, great quality
