A friend at work recommend Lugnuts to me after a good experience he had with them. I know next-to-nothing about cars, and so am always skeptical at first and assume mechanics will try to give me the shaft. To overcome this, I never get any work done without calling somewhere else for a second opinion. Over the past year that I have lived here, I have taken a variety of issues to Firestone and other nearby shops, but Lugnuts has always been the one I end up favoring. They typically come back with the lowest quote, I've never had any follow-up issues with their work (aside from a slow leak in a tire, which the fixed again for free), and over time, I now feel comfortable that they have never suggested any unnecessary repairs. In fact, after my car wouldn't start recently, I just took it to the nearest Firestone where they suggested several repairs at about $900 (part+labor). Not wanting to drop that kind of cash, I took my car to Lugnuts and showed them the list of the suggested repairs. They came back and told me they couldn't see that any of them were ""necessary."" Instead they suggested a completely different $40 repair that took 10 minutes. I said yes, and I have had no problems starting my car since. I'm sold on this place! From now on, I'll go slightly out of my way and go to Lugnuts, every time.
